Who We Are

Rapid Map Services (RapidMap) is a leading field data collection, mapping  and GIS consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia.

RapidMap was established in 1994 to provide spatial solutions including data collection services, software and hardware to local and state government and private industry.

As the company grew our offerings included field data collection, GPS surveys, mapping software, inspection software, works management software, database services, training, mobile computing sales and GPS sales.

To provide more clarity to the market, in 2009 under the umbrella of Rapid Map Global, 3 separate divisions were established:

• 4D Global - hardware sales including mobile computing sales and GPS

• Iconyx - inspection software, management software, database services, training and support

• Rapid Map Services – data capture, GIS & Desktop Mapping and GPS surveys

Rapid Map Services now has a more defined range of services including:

• Asset data capture,  field asset inspections, defect inspections and field mapping
• Quality cost-effective GIS and Desktop Mapping services for a range of applications
• High and mid accuracy GPS surveys for a wide variety of requirements
• Consulting for spatial data requirements
