 Rapid Locate
Rapid Locate is a simple to use, powerful application that enables users to convert between different coordinate or reference systems. Used by many of the Fire Agencies and State Emergency Services agencies across Australia, Emergency Response Users can quickly key in a location in any one of a number of formats and output to one or more different formats in real-time. This speeds up the ability to coordinate and identify location based issues and information to a range of groups on the ground or in the air.
Rapid Locate, for example, converts a location given as a street directory reference to a topographical map name and six figure grid reference. Alternatively, a location given as a Lat/Long can be converted to AMG coordinates or to a street directory reference in UBD, Melways, Sydways, VicRoad etc. Rapid Locate can be incorporated as a tool in MapInfo Professional or OziExplorer. Rapid Map can customize Rapid Locate to include other reference systems as requested.
